  • We are strengthening families, building communities, and nurturing childhoods

    Every day, we are helping families thrive. Using data as our guide, we disrupt the cycle of poverty, abuse, and neglect to create better outcomes for children and families living in vulnerable circumstances.

    WE SUPPORT: We provide one-on-one, strength-based support to children and their families.

    - educational workshops, community events, support and learning groups, parenting classes, counseling, and basic needs like groceries, diapers, and public transit access.

    - TALK Line: CALL US 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK AT 415-441-KIDS (5437)

    WE EDUCATE AND PROVIDE TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: We teach classes and workshops as well as develop curriculum on child safety and security.

    - We hold classes and workshops on safety, relationships, and child abuse prevention. Nearly all of our classes and trainings are free to attend. Visit online to request training.

    WE COLLABORATE: We collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and the private sector to coordinate child advocacy efforts locally and beyond.

    - Children’s Advocacy Center of San Francisco (CAC) is a collaboration of Safe & Sound and the City and County of San Francisco. It provides support for victims of child abuse and their families. 

    - We lead San Francisco’s Child Abuse Prevention Council and co-lead the Council in Marin to bring together government and community leaders to create best practices on child abuse prevention and response. 

    WE ADVOCATE: We seek to advance laws, policies, and practices that put children and families first.

    - In partnership with government and community organizations, we advocate for laws, policies, and practices that keep children safe and families together.
