• DSCBA Connection Groups offer opportunities for families to meet with those who have similar interests and are seeking peer support. The programs are both education and a safe and confidential place where they talk about issues they have in common with others. Patients must call or email to sign up for the groups ahead of time.

• Detailed Information

  • All Connection Groups are free, but you must call or email to sign up ahead of time.

    Most Connection programs are in English. Some virtual meeting are in Spanish and you are able to request for a translator if needed.

    - Early Connections: offers a friendly and supportive environment for parents and their babies (ages 0–3) with Down syndrome. We share helpful information to support your baby’s development. Some months we invite guest speakers and focus on a specific topic. This group meets two times a month, one Wednesday morning and one Saturday morning.

    - Parents with School Aged Children: this group is for DSCBA parents supporting each other with knowledge and information necessary to meet the educational needs of our children. The group shares information and resources on many topics related to educating our children, from best practices to rights and advocacy. In addition, guest speakers from various professions help contribute expert knowledge, answer questions and provide resources to our network of parents.

    Moms of children of all ages are welcomed to join in on an opportunity to get together in the comfort of your own home with fellow moms and share in the joys and challenges of parenting.
