Programs & Services:
Peer Engagement & Enrichment Program (PEEP): Advising, mentoring, and peer support for undocumented students pursuing health-related education and careers
National Peer Network: Connects students across states to share knowledge, resources, and encouragement
Institutional Advocacy / National Community Coalition (NCC): Works with higher education and health institutions to adopt policies and practices that support undocumented students
Community & Institutional Trainings: Delivers workshops and training on health care access, licensure, policy, and institutional barriers for undocumented communities
Resource Development & Sharing: Produces toolkits, guides, and educational materials to support students and institutions
Platform for Policy & Legislative Advocacy: Elevates immigrant-friendly policies in education, health professions, and licensure reform
Notes / Limitations:
PHDreamers is not a direct provider of immigration legal services or health care itself
Its supports are focused on students and institutions; individuals outside undocumented pre-health or health professions education may have limited access
Because it relies on a national network and student volunteers, service capacity, responsiveness, and program availability may vary by state and season
Some advocacy or institutional initiatives may require partnerships or alignment with local institutions to be effective
