We provide in-school music and after school choral programs accessible to every child regardless of family income. Music programs are located in select schools and community locations throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties for children and youth aged 4-19. Our approach combines repertoire from cultures around the world, performance opportunities, and a concrete foundation in music literacy. Singers support their communities with multiple opportunities to perform for local schools, organizations and cultural events each season.

-Make calls for programs ads, sponsorships, and our annual auction
Support joint rehearsals and community events (chaperones, checking in students, snacks)

Board Member Opportunity:
OYC Board members guide the strategic direction of the Chorus, sharing professional expertise as thought partners to staff, raising funding and resources for operations and programs, and sharing the work of the Chorus with their networks and in the broader community. Their volunteer service expands the reach and perspective of our organization, supporting our young people through their gifts of time, talent, and treasure. It’s a wonderful way to give back to your community and we hope you will find out how to apply to join us.
