Food Farmacies at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland - Deleted
Partnering with the Alameda County Community Food Bank and Phat Beet Farms, UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital holds two Food Farmacies a month for patients and their families. Participants are offered whole grains, fruits, vegetables, eggs and protein – all free of charge. Additionally, staff are available to enroll families in CalFresh, provide health education information, and offer discounted Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) food box enrollment and cooking demonstrations.
On the second and fourth Thursdays of each month from 10:00AM-4:00PM, food pick-up for families is at 5220 Claremont Avenue in Oakland, CA.
To participate, patients/families need only provide their residence’s zip code and how they heard about the Food Farmacy. Participants must be patients at UCSF or family members of patients. NO application form is necessary!
