Substance Use Group Medical Visits: Welcome to Safari Group! Join us on a journey through addiction to a healthier lifestyle. Do you want to change your relationship with substance use? Please join our group which consists of a medical provider, mental health clinician, and peers to discuss and explore the topics listed below:

- Medications for addiction treatment
- Relapse prevention
- Managing triggers and cravings
- Relationships in recovery
- Establishing a support system
- Managing feelings
- Cognitive-behavioral techniques
- Creating SMART goals
- Self care, stress management, and increasing coping skills
We have a medical provider who can prescribe medications for addiction treatment (MAT) including Suboxone (buprenorphine).

Eligibility Requirements:
- Anyone age 18+ wanting to change their relationship with substance use
- For substance use treatment medication management: must be a Roots clinical patient

Visit The Young People’s Wellness Center. The YPWC provides free medical, behavioral health, health navigation services, and supportive groups for youth between the ages of 13 to 26. Dedicated behavioral health services are also provided at Covenant House Oakland.

Oakland Street Team Outreach Medical Program (STOMP) is Roots’ street medicine program that brings care to the people in homeless encampments. We deliver outreach, benefits enrollment, perform housing assessments, linkage to services and treatment, and medical care to homeless individuals throughout East Oakland.

Roots Community Health Center provides basic medical care for all enrolled Peralta students from all Peralta College Campuses, including Berkeley City College, College of Alameda, Laney College and Merritt College.
