Immigration Legal Services:
AAN offers immigration legal services for low income African and Afro-Caribbean immigrants working towards securing a legal status in the United States. With two attorneys and four DOJ Accredited Representatives on staff, AAN provides the following immigration services: Representation in detained and non-detained matters before the San Francisco Immigration Court, Bond hearings, Parole requests, Representation in affirmative asylum filings before the San Francisco Asylum office, Adjustment of status applications, Family-based petitions, Consular Processing, VAWA applications, U-visa applications, Citizenship & naturalization applications, Work Permits, and Temporary protected status applications.
AAN is a proud member of many city-wide collaboratives, oftentimes being the only organization focused exclusively on assisting African Immigrants. AAN is a member of the following collaboratives:
- San Francisco Immigrant Legal Education Network (SFILEN)
- San Francisco Immigrant Legal Defense Collaborative (SFILDC)
- San Francisco Language Access Network (SFLAN)
