Foster Care Services:
LSC’s Dependency Project represents youth in San Francisco through court appointments when a petition has been filed alleging parental abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
LSC may be able to assist you with asking the Child Protective Services agency to file a dependency action if you live in San Francisco, have been abused, neglected, or abandoned by your parents, and want to consider entering foster care. Call our Warmline at (415) 780-6366 for more information.
Guardianship Services:
LSC may be able to assist you with the guardianship process if you live in the counties of San Francisco and Alameda, are over the age of 12, and are not able to live with your parents or current guardians. If you are under 12, click here for other service providers.

Immigration Services:
If you are under age 21 and live in Northern California, LSC can do a free legal screening with you and advise you about your legal options. If you qualify for SIJS, DACA, T Visa, U Visa, or asylum (lawful immigration relief options) and live in San Francisco county, we may be able to represent you in your case for free.
