Host Housing
The Host Housing model provides participants the opportunity to live in a family setting with a trusted adult. While in host housing, youth have access to B:E’s range of education and career development services as well as coaching and case management support. B:E also supports the hosts with ongoing coaching and skills development.
Community Housing
Comprehensive services, parenting support, and housing for single males and single females are offered. An important component of independent living skills development, youth in B:E’s housing programs participate in workshops about food, health and culture. The workshops include hands on cooking demonstrations as well as education on how to reduce the sugar, salt and fat in our diets. With the support of Planting Justice, youth in B:E’s housing programs developed and now care for a home-based community garden(s) to grow the food that they prepare and eat in housing.
