• The Berkeley Drop-in Center is a peer-led, wellness-based community center that has been addressing the wellness needs of the unhoused, people affected by mental health challenges, and the substance-dependent since 1988. Our goal is to provide support services and resources that facilitate our community’s wellness and social growth. Employees of the Berkeley Drop-in Center have lived experience with overcoming socioeconomic challenges and possess a desire to create lasting positive changes for themselves and the community.

• Detailed Information

  • The Berkeley Drop-In Center offers Drop-In Services that include free mail service, free lockers, refreshments (coffee, snacks, and hot food), phone access, computer access, and a pre-loved community closet stocked with clothing, hygiene kits, and shoes. Our Community Resource Access and Referrals service includes payee service, housing, assistance with the application, connection to resources, housing retention, employee assistance, ID application assistance, and assistance in researching other resources as needed. Other services in our drop-in center include group and one-on-one peer support, weekly wellness classes and computer services.
