The LGBTQI Suitcase Clinic in the East Bay offers free basic primary care services and health education for low-income and/or uninsured members of the LGBTQI community and allies. Our aim is to employ the services of community-oriented doctors to provide a safe space for LGBTQI individuals and allies to access basic medical services. Through our care and education we hope to empower members of the LGBTQI community and allies to take an active role in their health and in disseminating health education throughout the community. LGBTQI Suitcase Clinic was started in June 2012, after realizing that there was a need in the East Bay for a safe medical space for people who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and/or intersex.
