  • RENT ADJUSTMENT PROGRAM ANALYST HOURS:
    

    Rent Adjustment Program Analysts are available for walk-in consultations Monday-Friday, 10:00 am to noon and 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.  The Rent Adjustment Program is closed from noon to 2:00 pm.  More information about the City of Oakland's Rent Adjustment Program.

    CENTRO LEGAL TENANT CLINIC AT THE HOUSING ASSISTANCE CENTER:

    Legal services nonprofit organization Centro Legal de la Raza provides free legal services for tenants through a weekly clinic at the Housing Resource Center.  Centro Legal Clinic hours are Mondays from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm.  Space is extremely limited and clients are seen on a first-come, first-served basis.  Appointments may not be scheduled in advance.  Clients must remain in the Housing Resource Center lobby while they wait to be seen.  

    
    

    HOUSING RESOURCE CENTER RESOURCES

    Referral to City, nonprofit, private, and other public resources. Housing advocacy to help Center customers navigate access to housing service. Streamlined information to City-funded housing services including: Foreclosure prevention and mitigation assistance for homeowners; Loans and grants for residential rehabilitation, home repair and energy retrofits for eligible residents; Information about first-time homebuyers’ assistance and workshops; Tenant petitions and landlord/tenant mediation through the Rent Adjustment Program

    INFORMATION AND REFERRALS INCLUDE:

    Listings for emergency, transition and affordable housing. County programs for healthy housing services. Home repair, weatherization, and energy efficiency services. Financial resources for homeowners and tenants. Counseling and legal services for tenants; landlord support resources 

    The Housing Resource Center is closed weekends and on all holidays observed by the City of Oakland.
