SERVICES
Disaster Emergency Services - Part of a state-wide effort to help survivors and their families return to safe, sanitary, and secure housing after last winter's devastating storms. Our work is serving residents of Alameda and Contra Costa counties.

Services include:
- Connecting survivors to community resources
- Identifying household needs and program eligibility
- Assisting with advocacy and appeals (including FEMA appeals)
- Creating attainable recovery plans
- Arranging construction resources and repair for property damaged by natural disasters.
Storm Assistance for Immigrants
- Catholic Charities of the East Bay is the provider for individuals who live or were affected in Alameda and Contra Costa counties.
- Services are available from June 2023 to May 31st, 2024, on a first come, first-served basis while funds last.
- Qualifying adults and children will receive financial assistance to replace lost wages.

Housing Services - All Alameda County and Contra Costa Residents: We are unable to accept new applicants at this moment. For additional resources please call 211.
Immigration Legal Services - Open for appointments. Call (510) 768-3100 to schedule. Offered in Richmond and Oakland only.
**Initial Consultation Fee: Phone consultations by appointment. There is a $50 fee for consultations, which can be waived based on income. We accept cash, money orders, or checks. No one will be turned away for inability to pay. **
Services include:
Legal Consultations, Removal Defense, Family-Based Visa Petitions, Fiancé Visas, Consular Processing, Inadmissibility Waivers, Remove Conditions on Residency, Permanent Residency (Green Card) Application and Renewal, Naturalization/U.S. Citizenship, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), Unaccompanied Minors* (SIJS and Asylum), Victims of Domestic Abuse (VAWA), Victims of Violent Crimes (U-VISA), Temporary Protected Status (TPS), Request of Immigration Records (FOIA), Travel Documents (Advance Parole), Immigration Services for Unaccompanied, or Undocumented Minors (UUMs), Asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status (SIJS), U Visa, T Visa, Help for people in removal proceedings.
Mental Health & Violence Prevention - In partnership with Oakland Unified and West Contra Costa Unified school districts, we work with middle and high school students to provide a child-centered, restorative approach to youth struggling with anxiety and depression, low self-esteem, behavioral issues, and other challenges that interfere with their ability to focus.
We provide education to raise awareness and prevent trafficking and exploitation of young people.
We help youth involved with the juvenile justice team learn strategies to safely respond in situations of stress, fear, and conflict.

Support for Survivors of Violence - We work with youth, adults, and families in schools that have been directly or indirectly impacted by homicide to assist in addressing feelings and behaviors that result from the trauma of violence. Our counselors are registered by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and provide the following services:
- One-on-one, or family grief and trauma counseling
- Community support groups
- School and agency groups
- Benefits advocacy
- Resource referrals
- Limited financial assistance to families directly affected by homicide
