Outpatient Mental Health
La Familia’s Outpatient Department provides mental health services at a clinic located in Central Hayward. Through our Outpatient Department, we provide therapeutic and case management services to residents of South and Central Alameda County. Our programs provide specialty mental health services to adults with chronic pervasive mental illnesses; children, ages 0 to 18, with full-scope Medi-Cal; and adults in need of crisis stabilization services.

Community Outreach
The La Familia Community Outreach Services Department works with our community to build strong families, meet the needs of struggling parents, increase residents’ self-sufficiency, and promote youth development through modeling positive peer and adult relationships.

Developmental Services
Our Developmental Disabilities staff advocate for and provide case management services to the individuals and families we serve, an effort to improve their quality of life. Our case managers are bicultural and bilingual in English and Spanish so that we may provide a linguistic and cultural match for each of our clients.

Education and Employment
Through our Department of Education and Employment Services, we provide education, training, and guidance to steer program participants toward innovative pathways to sustainable careers, enhance their life skills, and build safe and economically vibrant neighborhoods and communities.

Recovery and Wellness
La Familia’s Recovery and Wellness Department houses programs that provide substance use treatment services, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, medication assisted treatment (MAT) and more.
The programs in our Recovery and Wellness Department serve adults and adolescents in Alameda County.
This department is overseen by Director Anna Phillips, Ph.D., LMFT who can be reached at Aphillips@lafamiliacounseling.org.

Equity Initiatives
Engaged in coalition work to support the communities we serve by collaborating closely with other nonprofit organizations, governmental agencies, schools, and community groups. The Unaccompanied Immigrant Youth (UIY) program provides linguistically appropriate and culturally sensitive mental health services and interventions for youth who immigrated to the United States without the accompaniment of a parent. We specialize in trauma-focused and family oriented treatment to Unaccompanied Immigrant Youth families. We have four Clinicians and two Case Managers who serve as a mobile unit providing services at schools and in the community throughout Alameda County.
This program is administered in collaboration with the Alameda County Center for Healthy Schools and Communities. Clients are referred to our UIY Program by school personnel.
